Tel Hazor & Dan

      What a worthwhile visit indeed ! Dan is located within feet to Lebanon and it has the High Place where Jeroboam set the golden calf that defeated Israel for hundreds of years and the high place where it was placed is still intact.

Hazor has obvious places where the heat of the fire burst the large basalt stones when Joshua overtook the city and burned it to the ground as commanded by God  while it was occupied by the Canaanites after he over threw Jericho and other cities.

         I again see that the enemy just causes us to see our small world and gets us involved in the little things and this keeps us from obedience to the greater call on our life. May we never be carried about with small idols of opinions and misgivings of dumb issues that keep us from seeing the picture the way God wants us to see. Our community has definitely caused us to be affected by tunnel vision and as a result keeps us boxed in a place of smaller things which are important but not to be held captive by. We need to be full of great courage and not allow the enemy to rule our thoughts and goals for Gods sake. Enemies are always enemies and are designed to hinder the work of God and will never help us us….NEVER !!! We can never compromise with the enemy, never find help or acceptance with the enemy !!! The enemy has to be driven out and soundly defeated !!! The enemy spoke through Peter to Jesus and made suggestions against the Cross that Jesus needed to bare. Jesus did many mighty works around some of these cities, But when it was about overcoming the enemies of their cultural gods….They refused to repent and Jesus the God of all power and mercy had to curse them and turn these glorious cities into piles of rubble just like Sodom and the other cities in the South.  So I ask………….What does my city look like ???

Tel Dan

          Today we saw Tel Dan and were amazed at what led to it. We were at Chorazin and as we were walking someone ask us why we were their, that most people miss this one and he said he was impressed. So we talked to find out he used to be a guide and is now an older man with lots of information…….WOW…….He said we need to see Tel Dan which were in our plans and than he continued to tell us that the high place where the idol of Jeroboam was sitting is missed by most and also there is a gate where Abraham walked through in his time, and is also not known by most visitors visiting there and told us how to find it out side the Tel. WOW AMAZING…..This was in the Caesarea Philippi area where we stopped as well. Our hearts were visibly moved when we heard the Word while visiting Chorazin.

Matt 11:21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

So Jesus did mighty works inside that place where we walked and than cursed it in to a pile of stone rubble that has latter been uncovered and remains desolate to this day. All these cities that Jesus did mighty works spoken in the Word are still unoccupied to this day. My Lord !!! Let your mighty works done within us never allow us to come to a place where repentance vanishes from our everyday life !!!!!!

Sea Of Galilee

Here is a letter from John Yoder (Griner Church) Ind. to me while over here. Read this and know that Jesus is ALIVE !!!

Several months ago I believe around Christmas, an Amish minister came to one of our Saturday night prayer meetings. During that Meeting I was moved by Holy Ghost to stand and walk behind him and lay hands on him praying that he might receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. I wasn’t certain how he would respond to such a prayer, since it was the first time that I had met him.

The command of God was so strong that I got up in spite of my misgivings and walked over and laid hands on him and prayed that he might receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Nothing happened that Night, but I had a peace in doing what God had commanded. He has been back on numerous occasions and it is evident that God has been at work in His life. He is not your typical Amish minister, although he is in a difficult situation because his father is the bishop in the same church where he ministers.

Within the same timeframe a group of local Amish men who are born again started a prayer meeting in the shop of one of the men. They have their prayer meetings from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM every other Saturday Morning. This minister has also been attending this prayer meeting.

Yesterday about 1:00 PM, I received a call from him asking if I would have a moment to talk and that he was needing a little advice. I said I had the time and if there was any advice I could give, I would. He began by saying that he was feeling like he was living a bit of a double life since the Amish Church where he ministers doesn’t look well on the idea of Bible Studies and prayer meetings and he as a minister is involved in both. J He said that he was feeling as if he needed to make full disclosure to his fellow ministers and most notably his father (the Bishop). I wasn’t sure where he was in all of this so I asked him how he felt about his activities in prayer and Bible study and he said honestly that in these things was where he found far more communion with God than in his Amish Church. He then mentioned that some wouldn’t believe him concerning his praying in tongues and he wasn’t sure how to share this with others. My ears perked up at this and I asked him to tell me more about his experience in praying in tongues. OH Bless the LORD!

He shared with me that in the prayer meeting at Griner prior to LA Spring conference this year, as we were praying, he had heard the Lord say not to quench the spirit. He said that this continued with him all that  week until the following Friday (Day after Leaders Alive and the day I left for Ghana). He was in his shop and listening to an mp3 player on which one of the other brothers from the church had downloaded the message you preached at Griner  in 2009 about the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. He said as he listened to the message, you were preaching that the reason most people never experience the fullness of God was because they were concerned with losing their identity. He said he turned off the player then and there and began repenting before the Lord because that was exactly his situation. As He was praying alone in his shop he said he began to shake all over and fell to the floor and began to pray in a language he didn’t know. After that passed over him, he didn’t know what had happened but he got up and went into the house where his wife asked, “What happened to you?” He said, I don’t  know.” And then he called his brother, who attends our church to get my phone number and his brother told him that I was on my way to Ghana, so he and his wife prayed and he went back to the shop and turned the sermon back on. He said then that he began to weep because in the message you shared your experience of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and he said, “I knew then, what had happened.”  And he was praising the Lord.

He told me that the three times that he has preached since this happened, have been the most bold preaching he has ever preached in 9 years. He also told me of being in this Amish prayer meeting on a Saturday morning following His baptism and close to the end of the meeting, the men, some of the men, asked if the others would gather around and pray for boldness from God to go back and face the situations of resistance to the work of God in their lives.

He said as they gathered around and began to pray that the power of God came down and several of the men began to pray in other languages and some were healed of physical ailments right on the spot. This all came about in a prayer for boldness, (reminded me of Acts 4). PTL!

Anyway this minister is full of the Holy Ghost and wondering how he is going to process this with his Amish Church, GLORY!

Tonight the Feast of Pentecost starts over here, What wonderful timing, as we sat on top of a high mountain overlooking Arbel and rejoicing that the same Holy Spirit came into a little house between Berlin and Millersburg 8,000 miles away into my hungry heart and caused me to overflow ever since !!!!!!!

E-net is still a problem but I am on at the time and am happy to update ! We miss you all so much at the Church and yes Dalen, I saw your comments on Sunday morning…We miss you all so much as well and may I say that having walked where I walked Egypt-Israel…I have numerous messages in my heart for the Church in Millersburg and Honduras. Some of you reading this blog need to start making arrangements now to come over here. You need to come home over here while you can.

Today we were at Megiddo and saw the reality of a pagan altar where they sacrificed their on body to the evil on….They still call the altar a sacred place and it is still not torn down. Solomon overtook this city and used it as a fortress to protect the lavish prosperous Jez’reel Valley. Also the place where Josiah fought with the Pharaoh and lost and got killed. This was the man I have preached about a lot the last while and God used him to destroy Jezebel and all the Ba’al god worshipers and than after his duties were fulfilled, he lost his walk with God and got killed here.

I have made numerous updates and I see they are not updating…………Now this one is not going through as well………..Don’t know what to do…….Bummmmmmer

May God be strong upon you as you wait for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ !!!

Nuweiba Egypt

         We can not to begin to imagine the huge defeat Egypt suffered when Jehovah God opened the Red Sea for Moses and over 2 million slave workers to escape into land unknown to most. With it went thousands of skilled craftsmen that so artfully worked in crafting idols and statutes of Kings and Queens and gods from the ages back to Cain and are still standing today. With them went the Gold, Silver, Bronze, and precious stones and spices, perfumes and there creators. With it went the strongest army in the world and the King with his sons and there was no Royalty left to make a new King except a Queen with no more children…for the future. With it went all the gods that Egypt offered sacrifice to daily for thousands of years, being the oldest country in the world.They had placed all the confidence in these gods for protection, healing, rain, prosperity, fertility, wisdom, power, motherhood and many more things. They had made these gods from legion going back to Cain and ancient mythology. So when the God of Moses gave '”The children of Israel” escape through the Red Sea and killed the mighty army that no other country wanted to fight, it was a huge huge huge blow to the gods they trusted in…So everyone was in disarray.They had everything and than they had nothing in one day !!!!!!! WOW !!! Glory be to the Holy God of Heaven that rules eternity and still does so !!!!! Here is a pic of the pillar (Marble column) that Solomon built as a remembrance and on the Saudi Arabia side there is another on with the inscription. In Hebrew words it says Mizram (Egypt) death, water, Pharaoh, Edom,Yahweh, and Solomon. I also believe the word Moses is on the column.

Sunday Morning in Sharm El Sheikh

        As you are reading this ----Thank the Lord for E-Net. We are so spoiled in the USA !!! We still have very little use of E-Net, certainly not what they had informed us to have. Everything is slow, think even the flies fly slower…Today at 11:45 we leave here and go to Nuweiba, Egypt. This is where Ron Wyatt says Moses crossed the Red Sea. I am excited to see this even though the Motel has bad ratings especially the food. As long as they have working rest rooms we should manage. So far we have not been sick from food, actually…..the food has really surprised us ! It has been far better than we expected. Last night Martha and I were so hungry for some American food we went to downtown Sharm and ate a loaded Sunday from TGI Fridays and gained back all our weight we had lost it seemed. But we feel a bit American this morning. This is the place we are in Sharm. It is the first that seems busy in Egypt since the revolution.

We will be in Nuweiba till next Thursday and leave for Israel and there we will meet Matts & Laels in which we are looking forward too !!!!!!  God bless you on this Sunday at home and around the world.

Hello in Aswan

         God delivered Jacobs children out of so much more than we can imagine. This countries history is rooted into thousands of years of Idolatry and now it is rooted into the same imaginary god that died. And oh how I blessed Jesus for dying and resurrecting that I can worship a Savior that is fully alive !!!!! Glory !!! John says: My little children abstain from the pollutions of Idols………All Idols are anti-God.

Martha and I walked about 3 miles in 115f Temps and I alone loved it. She has no comment except she slept for an hour afterwards. The ship we are on is very nice and really great personal with exceptional food ! Tomorrow  we will fly out of here and go to Cairo and than fly to Sharm and be there for 2 days and than to Nuweiba where Ron Wyatt found the Golden wheels of chariots in the Red Sea, and we will be their for 5 days than go to Israel to meet Son Matt & Rosetta and Lael's  which we are excited to see.

We miss you all so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luxor, Egypt

       Once thing I have learned again on this trip is if you ask a question and they answer yes quick…That means no or anything but yes…It can mean what ever the guide don’t understand which is very little.We saw the Valley of the Kings in Luxor where the dying Kings in there best imagination saw a naturally formed pyramid and had their grave dug deep into the mountain so they could live there till judgment day. Many Kings where in these deep tombs dug into solid rock with all there history carved in to the walls and ceilings like writing on paper using every square inch of wall. It is amazing !!! I have a better of understanding  why God was and still is against idols; the idolatry in Egypt was awful and God brought the children of Israel out of it is a great miracle that cannot be fully understood even after having seen all we saw. Idolatry was there life, work, honors, achievement's, sleeping, eating, trust, there glory !!! Egypt is the oldest kingdom on Earth and was completely taken over to these gods for everything for thousands of years. This is a little picture of the entrance to the Karnak in Luxor temple, 144 ram idols.

 

Look at these temple columns and walls. Writings on everything except the floors.There are hundreds of these columns in this temple 40 to 50 feet tall and I think there was around 18 Acres of this back in the days when the king and his kingdom used this for worship for the elite of the day in the days of Ramses 11 Oh, I love to serve a Jealous God that is real and full of Truth and Love and Mercy !!! Thank you for Jesus who died for me and paid a way that changes our life from inside out !!!!!!!!!!! The religion we see deeply engrained here is all external and nothing inside…Same as the walls and temples we visit, the same as it has always been…My Lord 

Good Morning From The Palace

Yesterday I was updating my blog and when I was done it all disappeared…I have no idea if it is posted or not.So here I will try again with a new personal E-net modem I bought last night. There are many things that frustrate Americans here like no E-net, unexpected tips like the tune of up to $30.00 @ day, No water before paying out of your nose, cannot take walks alone, security, security, security,and more security even to get into the driveway to this complex (Mena House Oberoi Palace) and than there are high walls all the way around so no one can get inside unless they have experience climbing high rise buildings and through high voltage wire and jump 30 feet. So once you are inside you have to go through security to get into the lobby ( Airport metal detectors) than when you walk to you rooms we have another set of metal detectors to go through about 20 feet before the room door. This is a very high class Palace 5star and very few people are here because tourism stopped since the revolution and everybody is hurting except us. Our room is $140.00 per night Including the best breakfast ever !!! They say breakfast is $30.00 @ person if you buy it separately……I believe it !!! It is awesome. Today we will fly to Luxor and board a boat for 4 days and we will see many ancient temples that men of history have built and now that we have E-net we will keep updating as we go.

Egypt 2nd day

It was so refreshing to see the Church at home and watch Pastor Steve Preaching a wonderful message !!!

           We saw what is believed to be the Pharaoh that drowned in the Red Sea pursuing Moses and Israel in their escape out of Egypt. It was so interesting to see his mummified body that was a different color than all the others. It was whitish, with salt deposits on his skin. Their has been no mummy that has been discovered ever with this pointing to the body being discovered in the Sea as a drowning. It is note worthy to see that only the extremely important Kings and their company next to them were mummified. So this was a very important man. I was not allowed to take pictures of him so I will note that he was the only mummy we saw that had black eye brow paint and it was still their to see. We also saw the mummy of Ramses 11 which was the father of the Pharaoh in Moses time. The reason for mummifying is…to preserve themselves for eternity and oh my Lord…..They had idols all around them always around 400-450 of them….How many Baal prophets ??? 450 in the time of Jezebel….

Oh can I ever see the importance of not having Idols !!! These were only several inches tall . Looking just like carvings. You think these carvings are not harmful ?????? Really, what does the Bible say? My little children, abstain from the pollutions of Idols in John.So long for now.

Sunday Morning

It is Sunday morning here and where is there a Christian Church ??? I have no idea where there is one or if there is one in Cairo, Egypt. The Muslims meet on Friday, The Jews meet on Saturday, The Christians meet on Sunday. Well Well Well…Yesterday we saw the place where Ron Wyatt says Joseph built the grain bins for storage of the great famine that was here.It was next to a pyramid that was built there later. I will post a picture.

Some of the pictures that Joseph seemed to have built !!!  WOW Its so amazing ! I will have E-net tonight and will be able to update again. Have a wonderful Lords Day !!!

Egypt

We are in Egypt in a detour and are enjoying it very much ! We will be here for over a week, and are seeing some real history. E-net is very hard to find in Kenya Safari and now it is just as hard to find here. Here is a picture from Kenya……It is a rare  ???? Guess what it is ????

 

It starts with a L……..We have been so blessed and are so excited for what we are experiencing. We are presently in Cairo and today we saw things back in the days of Joseph's and, will try to post the pictures in the morning if we have E-net. I would post everyday but E-net is so hard to find. I did found a location that has it for a low price……..This is 27.00 USD per 24 Hr. Its awful !!!

From Kenya

       I tried to update several times and the E-net just would not work well enough to do it. So I will try again as I sit in a little room at ACMI with overtones of the music coming from the worship starting the morning service. Yes there are some God Loving people here and Joy radiates from there heart. I am studying for my first message for 2PM this afternoon. That would be 7:00 AM EST. SO pray for me. Lael ask me to preach the message on the Mantle of Elijah in 2 parts. One now next on Friday at 9:00 Am.

         No we cannot sleep well as the beds are made of 2” foam in very little rooms and we are as tired and weary as you can imagine. But the Lord will sustain us in strength and spiritual rest, For when I am weak He is strong. Pray for us !!! We love you so much and miss you already !

Leaving Switzerland

We both agree, We just got the wake up call to leave the prettiest place we have ever been ! A little city on a mountainside called Wengen below close to Grindenwald.

 

We walked down a long mountainside and passed these flowers…We were so thrilled at the scenes we saw on the way down we felt like never going home again…Than we thought of Family and Brothers and Sisters…This is where my roots are from and now I understand why some of my heart likes it here !!!

          We are at the Airport in Zurich now and will leave here in about 9:30 today Saturday while most of are still sleeping in the USA. We will be arriving Nairobi at 6:30 this evening several more time zones away Lord Willing on Swissair.I will try to make more posts in Africa if we have E-net. I heard from Lael that I am to be ready to be worked hard with lots of ministry the next week. Pray for the power from on high to visit us in at every event ! Let us walk in His presence every day full of the Holy Spirit!

My highlight of today was Wengen. Wow Wow Wow !!! This little town offers a view from on side of a mountain that is as Heavenly that you can imagine ! I wanted to post a picture but reaching for my digital downloader, I could not reach far enough….It is in my desk over 6,000 miles away. So I will have to find one in the Swiss language in Interlaken or Zürich today. My German is real nice to have and very useful here. Heuti vollen vier zu Schilthorn gein voe es zer schouen ist. We will be in Zürich by tonight Lord Willing and fly out in the morning 9:30 to Kenya, Africa.

       Joy is something made for Gods children and is needed to make our face shine to a lost world and it shows forth His Glory and gives us strength in turmoil and cancels out carnal doubt concerning today and into the future ! So get it for your life, It comes with the Holy Ghost. Be filled with the Holy Ghost always, never lack receiving HIM ! Just ask and He will fill you completely !

In Switzerland

We are safe and tired in Switzerland. We came here to Interlaken and are ready this morning to do some touring around these mountains on a very clear day. We have been trying to make family contacts with my phone but to no avail however we will try a new Sim card if we can find one. I will post much more tonight with some pictures if I can. We will be inspired with the wonderful creation that has been made for us to enjoy from the God of Heaven and Earth.

In Chicago

Martha & I are sitting in Chicago, O'Hara waiting for our departing flight on Lufthansa LH 433. We will arrive Frankfurt Ger. at 1:40 PM Wednesday. From there we will fly into Zurich Switzerland on Flight No. LH 1196 and will be in Interlaken for 3 day layover. The weather is forecasted to be no clouds !!! This is awesome !!! May the Lord grand us safety as we are flying and in many different time zones. MAY God be with you !!!

Upcoming trip to Africa May 3, 2011

      We are packing and getting ready to leave for Africa, and there's always last-minute things that make it a busy time. We will have a layover in Switzerland for three days and the next blog will probably be from their. We will be leaving Canton Akron Ohio at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday and flying into Chicago. We will leave Chicago at 10:40 PM arriving Frankfurt Germany at 1:40 PM and then we will be flying into Zürich Switzerland and from their  go to Interlaken for the night.
